Stephan and Amanda

Who We Are?

We are excited to introduce ourselves. Our names are Stephan (nickname Brother) and Amanda! We were both born and raised in Arkansas where we have been together since 2015 and married since 2019. Amanda is a leader at a children’s hospital, and Brother is an area supervisor for a large restaurant chain. Growing up, we both dreamed about what our children would be like and imagined a life in which they would learn and grow in the same neighborhood where we were raised.

We both come from big loving families. Birthdays, holidays, and the chance to gather with our family means a lot to both us. Among our family we have five sisters and two stepbrothers with eight nieces and a nephew. We are blessed to have so much time with family including spending weekly dinners with Amanda’s family.

We both love to travel. In the last few years, we have been to New York, Mexico, the Caribbean, San Francisco, Seattle, and Alaska. Amanda’s favorite trip was the time we went to Disneyworld and a cruise during the holidays. Seeing everything decorated for Christmas was so magical. We have tried to take a trip each year to see a baseball game and one of Brother’s favorite trips was recently when we saw the New York Mets play in San Francisco at Minute Maid Park. Brother has been a Mets fan since he was a kid. We feel very lucky that we have had the opportunity to travel near and far, but one of our favorite places will always be the view from Brother’s godmother’s porch on Lake Greeson in South Arkansas.

We are also life-long Razorback fans and first met in 2001 while attending the University of Arkansas, but life took us in different directions before fate brought us back together in 2014. In March of 2019, we became the fifth generation in Amanda’s family to be married in Historic Cane Hill in Northwest Arkansas.

We are both very active volunteers in our community and at church. Brother is a Deacon and helps to manage the Church property, while Amanda has been involved in her local junior league over the last several years and has served on many local boards.

During the pandemic, one of the things that we have come to love is cooking dinner together throughout the week. Last Thanksgiving, Amanda cooked her first turkey. Whether it is trying a new recipe out in the kitchen or a pork tenderloin on the grill – it brings so much joy.

Brother stays active playing tennis with friends weekly and Amanda sings in the choir at church and recently started training for a half marathon. We have many friends close by and often get together for brunch or watching a football game on our patio.

We are grateful that you would take the time to learn more about us and our family.

Why Are We Adopting?

Since 2019, we have been praying and trying without success both naturally and through IVF infertility treatment. It has become clear from our medical team that it is time for us to explore other ways to grow our family. We know that our family is not yet complete and that children will be a dream come true for both us. While the last few years have been heartbreaking to be on this rollercoaster where we have high hopes followed by deep disappointment, we realize now that there must be a greater plan in store.

Why Choose Us?

For us, the call to grow our family through adoption means that we will be able to share our love and light beyond ourselves. Family always comes first with us and we would love your child through all that life brings.

We are strong in our faith and our relationship with God and our church family is extremely important to us. Please know that we will raise this child with unconditional love, grace, and the peace of Christ.

We will provide a nurturing home for your child. We cannot wait to share all of the love we have to give him or her. Brother cannot wait to teach this child how to play tennis, and Amanda cannot wait to share her love of travel, music, and cheese dip.

We are beyond grateful for our amazing support system of so many close friends and family members. Already, all of us love this baby so very much, and we look forward to meeting you.
